Saints of Failure Conarro Dixon Place Poster JPG

In this interdisciplinary solo performance of storytelling, movement, projections from appropriated pages of an illuminated Christian Book of Hours, and costume-and-makeup transformations, Ryan Conarro invites audiences into memories of of loss, discovery, and child-like play. SAINTS OF FAILURE reveals and interrogates the layers of identity that create us, with a focus on the frictions inherent in experiences of growing up gay and Catholic.

Coming up at the HOT! Festival of Queer Culture at Dixon Place in New York: Thursday, August 3rd, 7:30PM.
